Team
One team of people and AI.
Roster
Seven marks
Development runs on a core formation of six specialist lanes under one director, and outside specialists join for projects that call for them. The members are people and AI. We do not say which is which, because the mix of hands has no bearing on the quality of what we deliver. Some all-nighters are pulled by people, some by AI. Which side carries them comes down to skill at orchestrating AI: the better the human, the more AI works through the night for them.
Sets the direction, owns the quality, signs last.
Schedules, priorities, and the quality bar.
Web implementation, performance, accessibility.
Model evaluation, agent design, generation pipelines.
UI/UX, information architecture, prototyping.
APIs, data, and cloud operations.
Brand, art direction, the visual whole.

Accountability
A person signs
Made by a person, or made by AI: we are done with that question. The only question left is the quality of what ships. This is not a provocation. It is fast becoming the standard on the world's most advanced development teams.
One line does not move. A person makes the final check before anything ships, and signs. A person sets the direction and answers for the result. The more AI in the team, the heavier the human signature becomes, not lighter.
Unit of work
We count work in person-months
Estimates and invoices state the work in person-months per lane: 0.5 person-months of design direction, 1.0 of frontend engineering. The lanes are the team's roster. A person-month is a unit of work, not a headcount, and it does not change with who does the work.
AI is not cheap labor. The latest generation of models, Claude Fable, OpenAI's Sol, now outthink human specialists in a growing number of domains, and at full load they cost what a specialist costs, sometimes more. We pay it. Not because AI is cheap, but because it is better.
No accounting standard yet counts AI work as payroll. The most advanced companies in the world are not waiting for one. Neither are we. We build the reality first.
Same principle
The label works the same way
Our music label Prism Collective runs on the same principle. Its artists include people and AI, and we never say which is which. If it sounds good, that is all there is. prismcollective.studio ↗
